This course introduces students to the Internet of Things and teach them to set up networks for small to medium companies as well as prepare for the Cisco CCENT international exam.

 

After completing the course students will be able to:

  • Understand how computer Networks work
  • Gain more knowledge on what it takes to work with LANs, WANs and other network designs.
  • Configure simple Local Area Networks
  • Write the Cisco CCENT international exam (cost excluded from course fees)

 

Course Contents

  • Understand network protocols
  • Configuring a router and a switch to enable the functionality of a network.
  • Work with routers and switches using OSPF, EIGRP, and STP protocols in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
  • Resolve common VLAN routing issues in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
  • Understand IP addressing
  • Connect simple Local Area Networks
  • Use a Packet Tracing simulation software
  • Gain more knowledge on what it takes to work with LANs, WANs and other network designs.

 

Tutorial Project: – setup a small network with switches and Access Point’s.
Design Project: – design, build and present a model related to the course material.
