Course structure & explanation:

 

Level 1 courses:

This course gives students a good basic understanding of mechanical design using Computer Aided Design Software (SolidWorks 3D CAD). Model components, create assemblies, and make them using 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC machines.

This course introduces students to electricity and electronic controllers and physical programming. Learn about components and work with the Arduino microcomputer open source development platform.

This course introduces students to the Internet of Things and teach them to set up networks for small to medium companies as well as prepare for the Cisco CCENT international exam.

This course gives students a good basic understanding of computer coding, creating Apps and adding functionality behind the graphical elements.

Level 2 courses:

This course introduces connectivity and data acquisition in a practical way to allow students to set up larger networks for businesses and industry and prepares for the international Cisco CCNA exam.

This course introduces students to the world of robotics using MatLab and Simulink ®™ software. This also links to real hardware and model building and control, bordering on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This course builds on the Mechanical foundation gives students a good basic understanding of strength of materials and mechanical structures using SolidWorks ®™.

This course delves into the basics of electrical engineering and industrial control systems needed to automate industries by means of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).

This course builds on the Coding-1 course and extends understanding of computer coding in different languages. Students create own Apps and add functionality behind the graphical elements. Students must choose two of the following computer languages: Python, Lazarus and C++. The third can be done if time permits and the student proves to be a natural at coding.

Technopreneurship is the process of merging technology prowess with entrepreneurial talent and skills, in designing, launching and running a business. This course motivates students to think creatively and understand what it takes to set up and run a business. Think of an idea and create a business becoming your own boss!
